Andrew Czernecki

President
Andrew Czernecki is the President and CEO of Phoenix. Prior to joining Phoenix, Andrew spent his career in private equity, working with companies in business services, healthcare, technology, media, and telecommunications.
Andrew received his MBA from Columbia Business School. He received his BA in Mathematics from Duke University
Andrew and his wife Emma live together in Miami, FL. They enjoy spending time outdoors and hanging out with their dog Reggie.

Julie Gurman

VP of Recovery
Julie has over 15 years of subrogation, compliance and insurance experience. Throughout her tenure with PLC, she has supported our recovery specialists with quality assurance, process management and problem solving to provide innovative solutions towards resolution. Along with the daily management of collections, she assists clients with questions, concerns and issues to ensure recoveries are made in tough situations.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, shopping, playing poker and watching football.

Mitch Harper

VP of Sales
Mitch Harper is the Sales & Implantation Manger for Phoenix Loss Control. Mitch has been with Phoenix Loss Control from the inception. Mitch currently has the responsibility of obtaining new clients and providing training for the investigation and reporting of damage claims.
Mitch has a Bachelor of Science degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver in the field of Criminal Justice. Mitch has worked in the Law Enforcement field for over 30 years prior to retiring with the rank of Detective Sergeant. Mitch’s core values are interpersonal communication and team work.
Mitch is an avid golfer and tennis enthusiast. Mitch lives in the Denver Colorado area with his family including two grandchildren.

Angi Meza

VP of Client Relations
Angi has been in the damage claim industry since 2005. She started out on the recovery side of the business and eventually worked up through administration and management. Angi now leads the Client Relations department at Phoenix Loss Control. Angi works with our clients on a daily basis to ensure we meet their needs. She prides herself on organization skills, attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to work as a team player.
During her off time, she likes to spend time with her husband and four legged fur-baby. They like getting out in nature and spending time outside when MN weather permits.

Heidi Wolle

VP of Finance
Heidi Wolle joined the PLC team in 2016 bringing with her over 20 years of professional financial experience in both the for-profit and the non-profit sectors. Having worked in over 10 different countries, Heidi values the diversity the world brings. She is a dependable team player filled with integrity, honesty, and compassion. Heidi studied Accounting/Economic at Luther College and was very thankful when she passed the CPA Exam. When she isn’t working, Heidi enjoys traveling with her family, service projects and playing the harp.

Michelle Ugstad

VP of Invoicing and IT
Michelle got her start in the utility industry filing insurance claims and skip-tracing, learning the process of root cause analysis, determining a negligent party, costing, invoicing, and negotiating payment. She has continued working at Phoenix as an Executive Director, Operations Manager, and currently Vice President. She is currently in charge of ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, auditing performance statistics and heading our software development. Michelle holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration and an A.A.S. in Business. In addition to to her work at Phoenix, Michelle also decorates cakes and volunteer as a Girl Scout Troop Leader.
